Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking staff to provide care and training for residents with Serious Mental Illness at a Bethel Park home. The role emphasizes mentoring, positive practices, and community engagement to enhance residents' daily lives.

Ideal candidates are ready to work in a small, family-like setting with a non-exempt, hourly schedule, and must meet clearances and screening requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or equivalent with 1 year direct care experience
• Ability to drive an organization automobile/van
• Act 33/34/73 Clearances
• Pre-employment Drug Screen

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness in a Bethel Park residential home.
• Develop and mentor a team using strengths-based, positive practices to guide daily activities.
• Work in a small 3-bed Mental Health Support Home located in a neighborhood setting across from South Park.
• Engage residents on site and in the community to support well-being through socialization and activities.
• Assist with daily tasks to ensure health and safety of residents and the site.
• Support residents’ well-being through participation in on-site and off-site activities.
