Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking Residential Care Advisors to support adults with intellectual disabilities and serious mental illness in a 56-bed Personal Care Home in Wilkinsburg, PA. The role emphasizes strengths-based mentoring and compassionate, patient-centered care.

The position involves daily health and well-being tasks, engagement with residents both on-site and in the community, and promoting social activities aligned with residents’ goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with 1 year direct care experience.
• Valid Driver license.
• Ability to drive an organizational vehicle.
• Act 33/34/73 clearances.
• Pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and training to adults with Intellectual Disabilities/Serious Mental Illness in residential treatment locations.
• Develop and mentor a team using strengths-based approaches and positive practices.
• Work in a 56-bed Personal Care Home in Wilkinsburg, PA, near a bus line.
• Engage residents on-site and in the community to support health and well-being.
• Encourage socialization and participation in activities inside and outside the site.
