Job summary

Comcast is seeking an entry-level broadband installation technician in Alabama to install services in customers’ homes, troubleshoot connectivity, and ensure a positive experience.

The role is physical, requires driving a company vehicle, and may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Comprehensive benefits begin Day 1 along with training and certifications to advance within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to complete training and certifications.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential installations, service changes, and disconnects following safety practices and codes.
• Diagnose and resolve issues from network to customer equipment.
• Install and support home networks using coax, Ethernet, and Wi‑Fi based on customer needs.
• Verify service quality using testing tools and adjust for reliability.
• Educate customers on products, services, and proper usage.
• Document work and update customer accounts using digital tools.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment; report safety concerns promptly.
• Drive safely and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Complete required training, certifications, and background checks on schedule.
• Meet or exceed performance and safety standards.
