Job summary

The Emily Program in Saint Paul, MN is seeking entry-level Behavioral Health Technicians to support adolescent clients in residential care. You will assist with daily activities, meals, and skill-building in a structured community setting, under supervision from a multidisciplinary team.

This role emphasizes compassionate engagement, observation, documentation, and adherence to facility policies. Candidates may have an Associate’s degree in a mental health field or a HS diploma with 2,000 hours

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a mental health–related field required for licensure.
• High school diploma with 2,000 hours direct patient care also required.
• 6+ months direct client care/milieu experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multidisciplinary team on care plans and admissions.
• Support residents during meals, outings, and structured activities.
• Engage with residents, document observations, and provide supervision as needed.
• Monitor bathroom use and exercise; enforce policies and complete hourly checks.
• Assist in maintaining charts and completing required tasks.
