Job summary

The Emily Program in Minneapolis is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Technician to support adolescent clients in our residential milieu. You will partner with a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans, assist with meals and activities, and document observations to track progress.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s degree in a mental health-related field or a high school diploma with 2,000 hours of direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a mental health-related field required to meet Minnesota DHS licensure standards for MHRSW classification.
• High school diploma and at least 1 year / 2,000 hours of direct patient care experience in a mental/behavioral health setting required.
• Entry-level position; 6+ months of direct client care/milieu experience in mental/behavioral health or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partners with the multi-disciplinary team on care plans and treatment, assisting in admissions, supporting clients in programming.
• Participates in therapeutic meals and snacks and provides support during structured outings and recreation.
• Reports observations and documents in charts and monitors patient progress.
• Monitors and supports bathroom use per client treatment direction and documents exercise.
• Enforces policies and completes hourly room-checks.
