Job summary

Montare Behavioral Health in Tucson, AZ seeks Full-Time and PRN Behavioral Health Technicians for daytime and overnight shifts. The role involves assisting with intakes, daily living activities, and behavior management in a residential treatment setting.

Qualifications

• Peer-Support Specialist experience preferred.
• One-year BHT experience in a behavioral health treatment setting preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Displays proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records, MS Office and email software.
• Must have a Level I AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card and pass required clearances and background checks.
• Must have a current negative TB test.
• Current Arizona Driver License and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Assist with intakes, orient new clients to the facility and ensure rules are followed.
• Promote recovery-based, client-centered care.
• Provide support and rapport with clients while maintaining boundaries.
• Conduct rounds, searches and safety checks.
• Ensure clients attend groups and therapy sessions.
• Facilitate groups and engage clients in activities.
• Transport clients to off-site appointments and outings.
• Document client interactions in the health record.
• Report unusual observations to clinical staff.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Help keep the facility clean, safe and compliant.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
