Job summary

Montare Behavioral Health in Tucson, AZ is seeking Full Time and PRN Behavioral Health Technicians for daytime and overnight shifts. Join a dedicated team delivering adult behavioral health and addiction treatment in a residential setting in the north foothills of Tucson.

The role involves assisting with intakes, promoting recovery-focused care, and maintaining client safety and engagement in treatment activities.

Qualifications

• Peer-Support Specialist experience preferred.
• One-year BHT experience in a behavioral health treatment setting preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records, MS Office and email software.
• Must have AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card and pass required clearances.
• Must have a current negative TB test.
• Current Arizona Driver License with clean MVR (39 months).

Responsibilities

• Assist with intakes and orient new clients to the facility.
• Support a recovery-based, client-centered approach to care.
• Build rapport with clients while maintaining boundaries.
• Conduct rounds, safety checks and belongings searches.
• Ensure clients attend groups and therapy sessions as scheduled.
• Facilitate groups and organize daily activities.
• Transport clients to off-site appointments and outings.
• Document client interactions in the electronic health record.
• Report unusual client observations to clinical staff.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Keep the facility clean, safe, and compliant.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
