Job summary

ascensionrecovery is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor to lead RSS/BHT teams in a residential SUD facility. You will oversee daily operations, ensure consistent clinical programming, and model excellence in client care, while stepping in as a BHT when needed.

This role emphasizes trauma-informed leadership, supervision of RSS staff, and coordination with clinical and nursing teams to promote safe, client-centered services and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Experience training, mentoring, or onboarding new staff.
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to transport patients per policy.
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and evaluate RSS; ensure monthly supervision and annual reviews.
• Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and admin teams for integrated care.
• Develop RSS staffing schedule with coverage and team strengths.
• Lead orientation for new RSS staff; training within 60 days.
• Create training materials and ongoing skill development for RSS.
• Model and support a patient-centered culture.
• Ensure clinical schedule and curriculum adherence.
• Monitor policy, safety, and best practice adherence.
• Orient clients within 48 hours of admission; explain rules and services.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and life skills groups.
• Support intake, UA, transport, and recreation activities.
• De-escalate behavioral issues with trauma-informed strategies.
• Document incidents and client progress per policy.
• Oversee daily routines including housekeeping, meals, and meds.
• All other duties as assigned.
