Job summary

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) in Nelsonville, OH seeks a Residential Behavioral Health Lead (1st Shift) to oversee daily operations at the Mary Hill Youth and Family Center. You will ensure a safe, clean, well-supplied environment, supervise staff, and coordinate care team meetings and training.

You will support residents, engage families, and liaise with clinical teams. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a preferred bachelor’s degree in healthcare/behavioral

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, behavioral health or related field preferred.
• Crisis intervention certification (NCI) or ability to obtain required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain required.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead behavioral health staff member during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, efficient operations, adequate coverage, and compliance with program expectations.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and informal coaching to residential behavioral health staff through delegation, supervision, modeling best practices, and assisting with onboarding and training.
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff, supervisors, and team members regarding resident needs, incidents, and operational concerns.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment by monitoring resident behavior, supporting staff during challenging situations, utilizing de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques, and serving as the primary contact for emergencies during assigned shift.
• Ensure daily schedules, therapeutic programming, life-skills activities, groups, community outings, and special events are implemented, collaborating with clinical staff and other team members as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of required shift responsibilities, including safety checks, shift exchange documentation, staffing assignments, incident reports, and electronic health record documentation
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, supervision, and quality improvement initiatives
• Transport residents for day trips and outings in the community when necessary
• Other duties as assigned
