Job summary

Intermountain Centers is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide direct care and supervision in a residential behavioral health setting, implementing the agency's applied behavioral program and coordinating with the treatment team.

You will attend to members' daily needs, support skill acquisition and safety plans, follow licensing requirements, document progress, and participate in team meetings as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Six months of related behavioral health experience preferred (6 weeks supervised work experience offered if needed).

Responsibilities

• Attends to members' physical and self-care needs while safeguarding rights.
• Implements treatment goals, safety/crisis plans using Positive Behavioral Support.
• Collects and documents data, daily reports, and progress notes.
• Follows licensing requirements and maintains vehicle documentation.
• Transports members to appointments and activities; maintains vehicle readiness.
• Plans meals and teaches clients basic cooking requirements at the site.
• Observes members to ensure safety and participation; conducts alarm checks.
• Attends CFT/ART meetings and required staff meetings; completes trainings.
• Reports hours weekly and maintains accurate records and logs.
• Demonstrates ability to perform physical de-escalation techniques when needed.
