Job summary

ACLD in Russell Gardens, NY seeks a seasoned Residential Assistant Manager to assist the Residential Manager in directing daily operations of one residential group home.

The ideal candidate can handle diverse duties, maintain relationships with people supported, families, staff, and other departments. Requires High School Diploma, 1 year I/DD experience, and NY driver’s license; 6 months supervisory experience preferred. This is a full-time role with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• One year experience working in I/DD field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 6 months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive and productive work environment.
• Assist with hiring, training and coaching all direct care employees.
• Promote ACLD’s values and strategic vision.
• Assist with the development and management of Individual Service Plans and Plans of Protection/Behavior Support Plans.
• Manage crisis situations and behavioral issues as the needs arise.
• Assist with managing budgets and ensuring sound fiscal management procedures are being followed.
• Ensure accurate documentation and service billing is complete and submitted in a timely fashion.
• Diligent in complying with OPWDD and ACLD policies, rules and regulations.

ACLD (Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc.) is looking for a seasoned, dynamic Residential Assistant Manager to assist the Residential Manager in directing the day-to-day operation of one residential group home.

The ideal candidate can manage diverse duties and multiple priorities; and is able to maintain effective relationships with people supported, families, staff, and other internal/external departments. Candidate should have strong initiative, excellent problem solving skills and the ability to be creative, while managing multiple priorities in a busy residence.

This is a full-time position and requires flexibility in work schedule.
