Job summary

ACLD is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in a residential setting in Ontario, NY. The role involves helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve personal goals and independence.

You will provide structure, emotional support, assist with personal care, transport participants to appointments, and support behavioral goals. High school diploma required; some experience preferred; AMAP and SCIP certifications within six months.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience working with the intellectually and developmentally disabled population preferred; but will train.
• Must obtain and maintain AMAP (within six months of hire) and SCIP certifications.
• Prior experience as Caregiver, Care Assistant, Personal Assistant, Resident Assistant, Direct Care Worker, Nursing Assistant, Home Care Aide or Companion is a plus.
