Job summary

The Connection Inc. in New Haven is seeking a Residential Aide to provide direct client care, assist with activities of daily living, and support safety, health and wellness in a supervised setting.

Working within Adult Services, the Residential Aide collaborates with the Residential Behavioral Health Treatment team to help clients recover from mental illness, homelessness, and substance use, while maintaining a respectful, harm-free environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent.
• Valid Connecticut Driver’s License.
• High School Diploma / GED.

Position: Residential AideProgram: Park Street ResidenceLocation: New HavenSalary: $20.00/hourSchedule: Part Time, 2nd shift, 24 hours, Monday, Friday and Saturday (2:30-10:30p)Program Summary:A transitional program that provides case management, crisis intervention and symptom management support to people with significant mental illness and co-occurring disorders in a supervised setting. With the support of staff, clients are connected to community resources for clinical treatment, vocational skills training, and psycho-social opportunities.Position Summary:The Residential Aide is responsible for direct client care. This includes activities of daily living and providing support for safety, health, and wellness. This position also assists program staff, and the ideal candidate will establish, develop, and maintain respectful relationships with the people served.
