Job summary

Project Chesapeake provides addiction treatment and behavioral health services. We are seeking a full-time Residential Aide for a male residential location in Maryland to support clients and maintain nightly routines.

The role involves monitoring clients during overnight shifts, conducting rounds, assisting with intake, medication observation, and ensuring the daily schedule is followed. Prior behavioral health experience is a plus; HIPAA compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Observe, identify, document changes in clients and inform others.
• Understanding of addiction, mental health, and recovery concepts.
• Prior experience in behavioral health is a plus.
• Willingness to learn ASAM criteria, Stages of Change, and 12-step recovery methods.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all clients during assigned shift and conduct rounds.
• Ensure daily program/schedule is followed and adapt to changes.
• Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes.
• Observe and document medications taken or refused; supervise urinalysis as needed.
• Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and supervisors; attend team meetings.

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, full-time Residential Aide to join our team in one of our male residential locations! Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful, independent living.

Hours:

• Full-time
• Monday - OFF
• Tuesday - OFF
• Wednesday - 11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift)
• Thursday - 11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift)
• Friday - 11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift)
• Saturday - 11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift)
• Sunday - 11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift)

Responsibilities include:

• Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.
• Ability to conduct regular "rounds" around the entire property.
• Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed.
• Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.
• Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.
• Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled.
• Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors.
• Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues.
• Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.
• Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled.
• Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
• Ability to deescalate.
• Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.
• Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.

Qualifications include:

• Ability to observe, identify, document & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.
• Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.
• Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
• Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.
