Job summary

Project Chesapeake provides addiction treatment and behavioral health services and seeks a highly motivated, reliable part-time Residential Aide to join our team. The role includes overnight shifts on Fridays and Saturdays and requires monitoring clients, conducting rounds, and ensuring the daily schedule is followed.

Responsibilities include assisting with intakes, medication observations, urinalysis, and maintaining professional communication with clients and staff while upholding HIPAA

Qualifications

• Ability to observe, document, and report changes in clients.
• Understanding of addiction, mental health, and recovery processes.
• Willingness to learn ASAM criteria and recovery concepts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor clients during assigned shift.
• Conduct regular rounds around the property.
• Ensure daily program and schedule is followed.
• Assist with new intakes and room searches.
• Observe and document all medications taken or refused.
• Monitor supervised urinalysis as needed.
• Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and supervisors.
• Inform staff of clients' challenges or behavioral issues.
• Provide clear handoffs during shift changes.
• Attend team meetings and adapt to schedule changes.
• Deescalate when needed and maintain ethical boundaries.
• Comply with HIPAA requirements.

Job description

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, part-time Residential Aide to join our team! Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful, independent living.

Hours:

• Part-time
• Friday - 11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift)
• Saturday - 11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift)

Responsibilities include:

• Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.
• Ability to conduct regular "rounds" around the entire property.
• Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed.
• Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.
• Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.
• Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled.
• Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors.
• Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues.
• Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.
• Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled.
• Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
• Ability to deescalate.
• Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.
• Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.

Qualifications include:

• Ability to observe, identify, document & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.
• Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.
• Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
• Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.

Pay:

• $17.00/hr.
