Job summary

Project Chesapeake seeks a dedicated Residential Aide for a full-time role at our male residential Level 3.1 location in Maryland. You will monitor clients on shift, conduct rounds, support intakes, and document medications while maintaining professional boundaries.

The position requires understanding of addiction and recovery, willingness to learn ASAM guidelines, and the ability to adapt to schedule changes, including overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to observe, identify, document and inform others of changes in clients' condition.
• Understanding of addiction, mental health and recovery.
• Open to learning ASAM criteria, Stages of Change, 12‑step recovery, etc.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all clients during assigned shift.
• Conduct regular rounds around the property.
• Ensure daily program/schedule is followed.
• Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes.
• Observe and document medications taken or refused.
• Monitor and observe supervised urinalysis as needed.
• Communicate professionally with clients, staff and supervisors.
• Inform staff of client challenges or behavioral issues.
• Provide accurate information during shift changes.
• Attend team meetings as scheduled.
• Deescalate when needed.
• Maintain ethical and professional boundaries with clients and staff.
• Abide by HIPAA guidelines at all times.

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, full-time Residential Aide to join our team in one of our male residential Level 3.1 locations!

Hours:

• Full-time


• Monday - OFF


• Tuesday -9:00am - 2:00pm


• Wednesday -12:00am - 9:00am - (overnight shift)


• Thursday - 12:00am - 9:00am - (overnight shift)


• Friday -12:00am - 9:00am - (overnight shift)


• Saturday - 12:00am - 9:00am - (overnight shift)


• Sunday - OFF

Responsibilities include:

• Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.


• Ability to conduct regular \"rounds\" around the entire property.


• Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed.


• Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.


• Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.


• Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled.


• Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors.


• Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues.


• Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.


• Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled.


• Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.


• Ability to deescalate.


• Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.


• Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.

Qualifications include:

• Ability to observe, identify, document & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.


• Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.


• Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.


• Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.
