Job summary

Project Chesapeake is seeking a full-time Residential Aide for one of our female residential locations in Maryland. The role focuses on monitoring clients, maintaining schedules, and supporting daily programs while upholding HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities include rounds, intake assistance, medication observation, and effective communication with staff. Prior behavioral health exposure is a plus; training provided as needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to observe, identify and document changes in clients’ condition.
  • Understanding of addiction, mental health and recovery.
  • Open to learning ASAM, Stages of Change and 12-step recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all clients during assigned shift.
  • Conduct rounds around the property and follow daily program/schedule.
  • Assist with intakes, room searches, monitor mealtimes.
  • Observe and document medications taken or refused.
  • Monitor and observe supervised urinalysis as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, staff and supervisors.
  • Inform staff of client challenges; maintain shift-change records.

**Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, full-time Residential Aide to join our team in one of our female residential locations!

Hours:
  • Full-time
  • Monday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm
  • Tuesday -3:00pm - 11:00pm
  • Wednesday -OFF
  • Thursday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm
  • Friday - 7:00am - 11:00pm - (double shift)
  • Saturday - OFF
  • Sunday - OFF
Responsibilities include:
  • Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.
  • Ability to conduct regular "rounds" around the entire property.
  • Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed.
  • Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.
  • Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.
  • Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled.
  • Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors.
  • Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues.
  • Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.
  • Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled.
  • Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
  • Ability to deescalate.
  • Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.
  • Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.
Qualifications include:
  • Ability to observe, identify, document & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.
  • Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.
  • Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
  • Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.
