Project Chesapeake seeks a highly motivated, reliable part-time Residential Aide to join our team and support clients in a behavioral health setting.

Your shift includes monitoring clients, conducting rounds, assisting with intakes, and ensuring daily schedules are followed while upholding HIPAA guidelines and professional boundaries.

You will communicate respectfully with clients and staff, document observations, participate in team meetings, and adapt to scheduling changes as needed.

Qualifications

  • Observe, document, and inform others of changes in clients' condition.
  • Understand addiction, mental health, and recovery.
  • Willingness to learn ASAM, Stages of Change, and 12-step recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all clients during assigned shift.
  • Conduct regular rounds around the entire property.
  • Ensure the daily program / schedule is being followed.
  • Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.
  • Observe & document all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.
  • Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled.
  • Communicate in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors.
  • Keep all program staff informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues.
  • Provide accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.
  • Attend team meetings as necessary / scheduled.
  • Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
  • Ability to deescalate.
  • Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.
  • Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.

Job description

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, part-time Residential Aide to join our team!

Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful, independent living.

Hours:
  • Part time
  • Monday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm
  • Saturday - 7:00am - 3:00pm
Responsibilities include:
  • Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.

Qualifications include:
  • Ability to observe, identify, document, & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.
  • Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.
  • Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
  • Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.
Pay:
  • $17.00/hr.
