Job summary

Project Chesapeake in Pasadena, MD seeks a dedicated Residential Aide for a full-time overnight position at one of our male residential locations. You will monitor clients, conduct rounds, and ensure daily schedules are followed.

Ideal candidates will understand addiction and behavioral health basics, communicate professionally, and maintain HIPAA standards. Benefits include PTO and health coverage options; shifts include overnights Sunday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all clients during assigned shift
• Conduct regular rounds around the property
• Ensure the daily program/schedule is followed
• Assist with intakes, room searches, monitor mealtimes
• Observe and document medication intake and refusals
• Monitor supervised urinalysis as scheduled
• Communicate professionally with clients and staff
• Inform team of clients' challenges or behavioral issues
• Provide accurate handoffs during shift changes
• Attend team meetings as scheduled
• Adapt to schedule changes and new assignments
• Maintain ethical professional boundaries

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, full-time Residential Aide to join our team in one of our male residential locations! • Full-time
• Monday - OFF
• Tuesday -OFF
• Wednesday -11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift)
• Thursday - 11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift)
• Friday -11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift)
• Saturday - 11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift)
• Sunday - 11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift)

Responsibilities include

• Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.
• Ability to conduct regular "rounds" around the entire property.
• Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed.
• Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.
• Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.
• Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled.
• Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors.
• Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues.
• Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.
• Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled.
• Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
• Ability to deescalate.
• Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.
• Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.

Qualifications include

• Ability to observe, identify, document & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.
• Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.
• Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
• Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.
