Job summary

Project Chesapeake provides addiction treatment and behavioral health services and is seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, part-time Residential Aide to join our team. The role focuses on monitoring clients, maintaining safety, and supporting recovery in the evening shifts.

The position requires observing and documenting patient conditions, assisting with intakes, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Observe and document client behavioral changes.
• Understand addiction, mental health and recovery notions.
• Open to learning ASAM criteria and 12 step recovery concepts.
• Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document client behavioral changes.
• Conduct regular rounds around the property.
• Ensure the daily program/schedule is followed.
• Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.
• Observe and document medications administered or refused.
• Monitor and observe supervised urinalysis as needed or scheduled.
• Communicate professionally with clients, staff and supervisors.
• Keep staff informed of client challenges or behavioral issues.
• Attend team meetings as necessary or scheduled.
• Deescalate when needed and maintain professional boundaries.
• Abide by HIPAA guidelines at all times.

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, part-time Residential Aide to join our team! Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful, independent living.

Hours:

• Part time
• Friday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• Saturday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Responsibilities include:

• Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.
• Ability to conduct regular "rounds" around the entire property.
• Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed.
• Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.
• Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.
• Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled.
• Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors.
• Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues.
• Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.
• Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled.
• Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
• Ability to deescalate.
• Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.
• Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.

Qualifications include:

• Ability to observe, identify, document, & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.
• Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.
• Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
• Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.

Pay:

• $17.00/hr.
