Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. at the Miami Job Corps Center in Miami Gardens, FL seeks a Residential Advisor to create a safe, structured, and supportive living environment for students.

You’ll mentor, model positive behavior, and help young adults develop independence and life skills every day. This Full-Time position involves supervising dorms, guiding students through daily activities, organizing group sessions, and coordinating with counselors as needed, while upholding the Center's standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of Job Corps or related program experience.
• Regular and predictable attendance; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Mentor students and guide positive attitudes, independence, and personal responsibility.
• Create a positive residential environment promoting respect and teamwork.
• Provide guidance, counseling, and group sessions for independent living skills.
• Patrol dormitories and center areas to maintain safety and appropriate behavior.
• Identify concerns and coordinate with counselors for student visits when needed.
• Support student activities, including unit government and leadership opportunities.
• Model Career Success Standards through mentoring and intervention.
• Maintain student files, daily operations reports, and related documentation.
