Miami Job Corps Center seeks a Residential Advisor to create a safe, structured living environment and to mentor students toward positive attitudes and responsible independence. You will guide, counsel and support students in developing life skills and career readiness through group sessions and individualized coaching.

Responsibilities include supervising dormitories, maintaining records, coordinating with counselors, and supporting student activities.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of Job Corps or related program experience required.
• Regular and predictable attendance; overtime may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Mentor and guide students in developing positive attitudes, independence and personal responsibility.
• Create a positive residential environment encouraging respect, accountability, teamwork and peer leadership.
• Provide guidance, counseling, group sessions and independent living skills development.
• Maintain dormitory safety and cleanliness; monitor Center areas to ensure appropriate behavior.
• Identify concerns, resolve problems and arrange student visits with counselors when appropriate.
• Support student activities, including leadership opportunities and unit government.
• Model positive behaviors and reinforce Career Success Standards through mentoring.
• Maintain student files, case notes and daily operation reports.
