Job summary

EF Education First Ltd. in New York is seeking a Residential Advisor for Summer 2027 to oversee the smooth operation of the residence and ensure a high level of student satisfaction and safety.

You will plan arrivals and departures, maintain housing standards, monitor dining, handle welfare and emergencies, and participate in after-hours on-call duties. Housing is provided, and applicants must be 21 or older.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older due to working with minors.
• Have the right to live and work in the United States.
• Full fluency in English.
• Organized with a high level of attention to detail.
• Able to take initiative and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage student arrivals and departures.
• Ensure accommodation meets high standards of quality, cleanliness and comfort.
• Monitor cafeteria flow and student behavior during dining hours.
• General student welfare and discipline.
• Respond to problems and emergencies as they arise.
• Share after-hours, on-call duties on a rotation basis.
• Assist with daily student activities on campus as needed.

Role: Residential Advisor- Summer 2027

Compensation: $17.00-$21.00 / hour (based on experience)

The Role:

In this role, you will have responsibility for the smooth running of the residence and ensure a high level of customer service and student satisfaction.

Your key tasks will consist of, but not be limited to:

• Planning and managing student arrivals and departures.
• Ensuring accommodation meets high standards of quality, cleanliness, and comfort.
• Monitoring cafeteria flow and student behavior during dining hours.
• General student welfare and discipline.
• Responding to problems and emergency situations should they arise.
• Sharing after-hours, on-call duties on a rotational basis.
• Stepping in to assist with daily student activities on campus as needed.

• Capable of using your own initiative.
• Have the right to live and work in the country of employment.
