DuPont Performance Building Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager in the residential construction market for the New England area, including Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. The level will be based on the candidate's experience and aligned with compensation guidelines.

This role focuses on increasing sales and market share by driving specifications at the channel and contractor level, managing local dealers and distributors, and defining distribution strategies for residential markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage residential distribution, lumber dealers, builders, installers, contractors, and industry influencers.
  • Collaborate with Building Knowledge Team, Pricing, Contracts, and National Account Managers to execute strategies.
  • Ensure product availability in the market to convert specifications into sales.
  • Develop and implement tactical account plans supporting national objectives for distributor locations.
  • Partner with local Building Envelope Specialists to drive full portfolio sales.
  • Manage distribution activities, track conversions via CRM, provide product and installation training, troubleshoot issues, and support new product introductions.
  • Support design and builder communities with technical expertise, including architectural details and code consulting.
  • Track project opportunities to secure specifications and provide feedback on market needs and technologies.
  • Represent DuPont in the residential community and hold leadership roles in industry associations like NAHB.
  • Develop and manage Rebate Programs for targeted customers.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree required; BS preferred in Architecture, Construction, or related fields.
  • Minimum five years of successful sales experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and Building Science.
  • Strong business strategy, market understanding, and proficiency in SalesForce.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High safety awareness.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the region and 5-10% outside.

The candidate should reside in the New England area and own the channel management strategy.
