Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking a Life Engagement Assistant for its skilled nursing neighborhood. You will support the Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and executing programs that foster wellness, person-centered living and hospitality.

Programs are informed by Montessori principles and resident history. The role emphasizes meaningful engagement for residents at different cognitive levels and requires CPR certification, a high school diploma, and at least one year of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year activities/recreation experience.
• Dementia engagement certification (or willing to obtain within one year of employment).
• Current or eligible for certification in CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and implementing programs and events.
• Provide residents with Acts Signature Experience (ASE) during activities focused on body, mind and spirit.
• Ensure engagement for residents across cognitive and functional levels in line with Acts philosophy.
