Job summary

Parklands Care Center in Gainesville, FL seeks an Activities Director to enhance residents' physical, emotional, and social well‑being through engaging programs. You will design and lead a varied calendar of activities tailored to each resident's interests and abilities.

Work closely with nursing, food services, and families to create meaningful experiences, monitor program effectiveness, and contribute to individualized care plans during care planning meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be able to design and implement activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a variety of activities, including games, arts and crafts, exercise classes, and social events
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and caregivers to understand their needs and preferences
• Coordinate with other departments, such as food services, housekeeping, and nursing, to ensure seamless execution of activities
• Monitor and evaluate activity programs to ensure they are effective and meet resident needs
• Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care plans for residents
• Collaborate with other team members to identify and address any concerns or issues that may impact resident care and satisfaction
