Job summary

Onyx Health Consulting is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Director in Florida to lead a dynamic recreation program that enriches residents' lives and fosters a warm, engaging community.

You will design and implement activities that support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being, while coordinating with nursing, therapy, and dietary teams. This full-time role emphasizes safety, inclusivity, and meaningful daily experiences for seniors.

• Previous experience as an Activities Director or in recreation, senior living, healthcare, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing a comprehensive resident activities program tailored to individual interests and abilities.
• Building meaningful relationships with residents and families to reflect preferences and needs.
• Planning and coordinating a variety of enriching experiences, including holidays, arts & crafts, music, fitness, education, games, and outings.
• Encouraging resident participation and fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment.
• Collaborating with nursing, therapy, dietary, and other departments to enhance the resident experience.
• Maintaining activity calendars, attendance records, assessments, and required documentation.
• Evaluating program success through resident feedback and introducing new ideas to keep activities engaging.

What You'll Do

As our Activities Director, you'll be responsible for creating and leading engaging programs that support the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being of our residents.

Your responsibilities will include:

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Activities Director or in recreation, therapeutic activities, senior living, healthcare, or a related field.
