Job summary

Parklands Care Center in Gainesville, FL seeks an Activities Director to enhance residents' physical, emotional, and social well‑being through engaging programs. You will design and lead a varied calendar of activities tailored to each resident's interests and abilities.

Work closely with nursing, food services, and families to create meaningful experiences, monitor program effectiveness, and contribute to individualized care plans during care planning meetings.

• Coordinate with other departments, such as food services, housekeeping, and nursing, to ensure seamless execution of activities
• Monitor and evaluate activity programs to ensure they are effective and meet resident needs
• Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care plans for residents
• Collaborate with other team members to identify and address any concerns or issues that may impact resident care and satisfaction

About the Role

As an Activities Director, your primary responsibility will be to design and implement a diverse range of activities that cater to the interests and abilities of our residents. This will include planning and coordinating social events, recreational activities, and therapeutic programs that promote cognitive, physical, and emotional functioning. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that resident needs are met, and that all activities are safe, engaging, and enjoyable.
