Job summary

Twelve Oaks is seeking a compassionate Resident Transporter to safely transport residents to medical appointments, community activities, and other outings. You will assist residents with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensure safety, and help with mobility needs.

Responsibilities include keeping vehicles maintained, coordinating schedules with staff, following safety protocols, documenting transportation logs, and delivering excellent customer service to residents throughout the travel experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate a passenger transport vehicle (training provided).
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility needs, including wheelchairs and walkers.

Responsibilities

• Safe transportation of residents to medical appointments, social outings, and activities.
• Assist residents during boarding and exiting vehicles for safety and comfort.
• Maintain cleanliness, fuel, and basic maintenance of company vehicles and report issues.
• Coordinate transportation schedules with staff and residents for timely routing.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility protocols.
• Maintain accurate transportation logs and report incidents.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to residents during transport.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safe Transportation: Safely transport residents to and from scheduled medical appointments, social outings, and other activities as directed.
• Resident Assistance: Provide assistance to residents during boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure company vehicles are clean, fueled, and properly maintained. Report any issues or concerns to management.
• Schedule Coordination: Work closely with staff and residents to ensure timely transportation scheduling and efficient route planning.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility protocols to ensure a secure and positive travel experience for residents.
• Communication & Documentation: Maintain accurate transportation logs and report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate staff.
• Customer Service: Engage with residents in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive and reassuring experience during transportation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Previous experience in a transportation, healthcare, or customer service role (preferred)
• Ability to safely operate a passenger transport vehicle (training provided if necessary)
