Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is hiring a Transportation Coordinator (Driver) to deliver a reliable, resident-focused transportation program within the community. The role includes driving during scheduled hours and coordinating trips to medical, recreational, and personal appointments while maintaining safety and communication with residents.

Responsibilities include entering requests in the transportation management system, keeping vehicles ready, and supporting entertainment and programming

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years of age with at least 3 years of licensed driving experience.
• Valid state Driver’s License (Class E) and clean MVR required.
• Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems to assist residents.
• Experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation services during scheduled work hours, including coverage of designated medical transportation days.
• Safely operate community vehicles to provide medical, recreational, and personal transportation to residents.
• Enter and manage transportation requests in our digital transportation management system, ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with guidelines.
• Maintain vehicle readiness by completing routine inspections, ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good condition.
• Support the Entertainment & Programming team with outings and events, including planning, logistics, resident participation, and safety adherence.
• During non-driving hours, provide community support including programming and interdepartmental tasks.
