Job summary
Ebenezer is seeking a Resident Transport Specialist in Edina, MN to create and deliver a safety-focused training program for community drivers operating buses and vans. You will develop curricula, conduct classroom and hands-on sessions, and evaluate driver performance to ensure compassionate, reliable resident transportation.
The role includes coordinating onboarding with sites and managers, providing refresher courses, and maintaining detailed training records to uphold high-quality standards
Qualifications
- STS Driver Certification within 30 days of hire
- Medical exam certification required
- Driver's license in good standing required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be insurable under employer's Auto Insurance Coverage
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a standardized training curriculum for new bus/van drivers, including classroom instruction and hands-on driving evaluation and practice
- Educate employees on vehicle operation, safety protocols, defensive driving techniques, and emergency procedures
- Conduct evaluations and ride-alongs to assess driver performance and reinforce best practices
- Maintain training records for employees that have been trained
- Collaborate with sites and managers to schedule onboarding sessions
- Provide refresher courses to existing staff to maintain program consistency
