Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Transportation Aide to safely transport residents to appointments and between the center and external facilities. You will follow the directions of the Transportation Scheduler and nursing staff, adhering to safety policies and reporting changes in resident status.

Responsibilities include coordinating with nursing staff, maintaining the van, assisting with transfers, and ensuring hydration during transports.

Qualifications

• Driver's license (Missouri) Class E minimum.
• Nurse Aide Training; name on State Registry in good standing desired.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Transports residents to and from physician appointments and center activities.
• Coordinate with Transportation Scheduler to develop driving schedules based on resident needs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the van; log mileage and perform routine vehicle checks.
• Provide hydration and monitor residents for changes during transport; report any concerns.
• Assist in patient transfers and lifting as directed by physician orders and clinical staff.
• Transport medical records when needed and communicate with nursing staff about resident status.
