Qualifications

• CNA certification is not required at time of hire. Must obtain Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification within six (6) months of employment OR be enrolled in the first available CNA training course.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with non-clinical activities of daily living as outlined in the care plan
• Maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident’s quality of care and quality of life
• Document non-clinical tasks
• Reports changes in resident’s condition immediately to the Charge Nurse
• Pass linens and change bed linens
• Assist with meal service and passing of room trays
• Answer call lights and communicate resident needs to nursing staff
• Escort residents to meals, activities, therapy, and appointments
• Monitor high-risk residents to prevent falls
• Maintain clean, organized resident rooms and common areas
• Replenish supplies in resident rooms
• Clean and sanitize equipment and remove trash following infection control protocols
• Observes residents’ rights including privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
