• Documents non-clinical tasks and reports changes to the Charge Nurse.
• Passes linens, assists with meal service and room trays, and escorts residents to activities.
• Monitors high risk residents to help prevent falls and maintains clean resident rooms.

The position focuses on resident comfort, safety, dignity, and quality of life while assisting Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and licensed nursing staff with routine non-clinical tasks.The position serves as an entry-level pathway toward CNA certification.Duties and Responsibilities: Duties are determined by Scenic Living Communities’ needs and may include, but are not limited to, the following:Assists residents with non-clinical activities of daily living as outlined in the care planMaintain, improve and/or enhance each resident’s quality of care and quality of lifeDocument non-clinical tasksReports changes in resident’s condition immediately to the Charge NursePass linensChange bed linens and/or make bedsAssist with passing of snack cartsAssist with meal service and passing of room traysAnswer call lights, assist residents with non-clinical tasks, and promptly communicate resident needs to the nursing staffEscort residents to meals, activities, therapy, and appointmentsMonitor high risk residents to prevent fallsConduct evening activities as neededMaintain clean, organized resident rooms and common areasReplenish supplies in resident roomsClean and sanitize equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, bedside tables, lift slings)Remove trash and soiled linens following infection control protocolsAnswer phoneAttends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assignedFollows and upholds policies and procedures with a special focus on safety policiesFollows infection control guidelinesObserves residents’ rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality, thereby helping to providing quality care and a quality life to each residentPromotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guestsPerforms all other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing and/or the Executive DirectorQualifications: CNA certification is not required at time of hire.
