Sheldon Meadows Assisted Living Center is seeking a caregiver to ensure residents receive personal care and services per individual plans. You will support residents to maintain independence, dignity, and comfort in daily activities within our Michigan community.

Responsibilities include helping with ADLs, assisting with meals, and promptly addressing resident needs while documenting care and coordinating with supervisors. A caregiving certification and good English communication are preferred.

Qualificações

• Caregiving or related certification preferred (CNA/CENA/Home Health Aide).
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
• Minimum age 17 and ability to pass background screening.

Responsabilidades

• Provide care based on individualized service plans.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility, dining.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and call lights; observe and report changes to supervisor.
• Document care and services as directed.
• Assist residents with meals and life enrichment activities as needed.

Position Purpose

Ensure that all aspects of the residents personal care and service plan are implemented while assuring that the resident is treated with dignity and respect, assisting each resident to be as independent and self-sufficient as possible.

Qualifications

• Caregiving experience or certification preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Competency Evaluated Nursing Assistant (CENA), Home Health Aide
• Minimum of 17 years of age.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to pass the state mandated criminal background screening.

Essential Functions

• Deliver care based on individualized service plans
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility, dining)
• Respond promptly to resident requests and call lightsObserve and report changes in residents’ condition to supervisor
• Document care and services as directed
• Assist residents with meals and life enrichment activities as needed

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents in all aspects of personal care.
• Handle emotional and physical demands of caregiving
