Job summary

The Social Worker I at Westside Federation of Senior & Supportive Housing works autonomously to build 1:1 relationships with residents and provide a comprehensive range of social work services to support safe, independent living.

The role emphasizes licensing support: MSW level staff are encouraged to obtain licensure with WSFSSH paying for study courses and licensing exams, plus supervised clinical guidance and paths to LMSW/LCSW as part of career development.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Good organizational ability, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in aging population and supporting residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with obtaining and maintaining medical and mental health services.
• Establish and maintain family and social relationships.
• Budgeting and income maintenance to ensure on-time rent payments.
• Provide crisis intervention services and individual counseling.
• Coordinate in-house and community referrals for social activities.
• Maintain thorough case records and participate in supervision meetings.
