Job summary

Westside Federation of Senior & Supportive Housing (WSFSSH) seeks a Social Worker I who can work autonomously, build 1:1 resident relationships, and provide a full range of social work services to support independent, safe living in the community.

The role supports MSW licensing, offers study groups, pays licensing fees, and provides weekly clinical supervision; LMSW pathway is valued, with guidance toward LCSW. This is a growth-focused position within senior housing services.

Qualifications

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good organizational ability, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Desire or interest in working and supporting an aging population.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with obtaining and maintaining medical and mental health services, entitlements, and home care.
• Establish and/or maintain family and social relationships; assist with budgeting and rent payment.
• Provide crisis intervention, client escorts, and individual counseling as needed.
• Facilitate resident participation in socialization activities through in-house and community referrals.
• Follow up with residents and providers during hospitalizations or short-term rehab stays.
• Oversee discharge planning and complete all forms and applications as required.
