Job summary

AMHA in Akron, OH, is seeking a Resident Services Manager – Special Programs to lead Building for Tomorrow and oversee education, health, and digital connectivity initiatives. You will manage day-to-day operations, coordinate cross-functional programs, and secure funding to sustain long-term impact for residents.

The role reports to the Director of Resident Services and involves grant research, writing, and collaboration with partners to enhance services for AMHA clients across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology or public administration/affairs, or related field.
• Five years’ experience in multiple program management, community relations/collaborations, and one to three years leading teams.
• Master’s degree or LSW preferred. Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn other computer software programs required by assigned initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Building for Tomorrow day-to-day management, including grant-writing, non-profit compliance administrative duties, and communications.
• Oversees assigned programs, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives to ensure effective implementation of ongoing services and emerging opportunities.
• Provide support on day-to-day operations and partnerships at the Reach Opportunity Center, especially as it relates to education.
• Supervises data sharing projects, cross-system alignment to determine resident needs and coordinate with partners to determine impactful strategies.
• Oversees data and software projects, continuous quality improvement/assurance and strategic planning implementation and outcomes, including seeking funding.
