The role includes supervising two Community Engagement Specialists, overseeing budgets and grants, and building partnerships with property managers and service providers to enhance resident engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, public administration, human services, community development, nonprofit management, communications, or related field.
• Three (3) or more years of related experience in resident services, community engagement, social services, public or assisted housing, program coordination, or related field.
• Supervisory, lead worker, or project management experience preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and/or training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• 25% Resident Council Administration, Compliance, and Community Engagement Program Support. Coordinates and oversees Resident Council operations, including council support, leadership development, elections, governance documentation, stipend or budget-related documentation where applicable, Jurisdiction-Wide Resident Council communication, and compliance with HUD and CMHA requirements.
• 20% Staff Supervision and Leadership. Supervises two Community Engagement Specialists; interviews candidates, assigns work, provides training, coaching, evaluations, and corrective action when needed.
• 15% Events, Volunteer Activities, and Community Programming. Coordinates resource fairs, community programs, employee volunteer activities, and department events; handles planning and logistics.
• 15% Property Manager, Partner, and Resident Leader Coordination. Builds relationships with CMHA property managers, resident leaders, and partner organizations; supports problem solving and service coordination.
• 10% Program Operations, Budget, Grant, and Contract Support. Assists with program operations, budget monitoring, grant documentation, purchasing, and invoicing.
• 10% Data Collection, Reporting, Evaluation, and Best Practices. Collects data on participation and engagement; prepares reports; evaluates program effectiveness and best practices.
• 5% Performs other related duties as assigned.
