Job summary

Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority is seeking a qualified professional to lead resident services and community engagement across CMHA communities. The role emphasizes program coordination, policy development, and stakeholder collaboration to improve service delivery and resident outcomes.

The position involves supervising staff, coordinating events, and supporting budgets, grants, and contracts to ensure compliance with HUD and CMHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
• Three or more years of related experience in resident services, community engagement, or public housing.
• Supervisory or project management experience preferred; or combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and oversees Resident Council operations, leadership development, elections, and governance documentation.
• Develops policies, procedures, work plans, and internal tracking systems for engagement programs.
• Supports community engagement programs and service activities across assigned communities.
• Supervises two Community Engagement Specialists; conducts hiring, training, and evaluations.
• Plans community events and resource fairs, coordinating internal and external participants.
• Assists with program operations, budget monitoring, grant documentation, and contracts.
