Job summary

The Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority seeks a Resident Services Manager – Special Programs to lead AMHA’s non-profit Building for Tomorrow and oversee day-to-day operations in education, health, and digital connectivity.

You will partner with the Director of Communications and Philanthropy, manage budgets and reporting, supervise staff, and cultivate community partnerships to secure funding and improve resident services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology or public administration/affairs, or related field.
  • Five years’ experience in multiple program management, community relations/collaborations, and one to three years leading teams.
  • Master’s degree or LSW preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The day-to-day management for Building for Tomorrow including grant-writing, non-profit compliance administrative duties, and communications.
  • Oversees assigned programs, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring effective implementation of ongoing services and emerging opportunities.
  • Supervises staff including hiring, assignment, training, evaluating, and disciplining.
