Job summary

The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking an Assistant Residential Life Coordinator to help lead a comprehensive student development program for on-campus housing and five residence halls serving about 5,500 students. This live-on, full-time role reports to a Residential Life Coordinator and includes after-hours duties.

Minimum education is a Bachelor’s degree with one year of related experience; preference given to those with residential life or student affairs background.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of student development theory and philosophy.
• One year of experience with college students or adolescents in community groups in an advisory, administrative, or educational capacity or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise an area of 7-16 peer advisors and 400-600 residents.
• Provide ongoing communication on performance to direct supervisees including informal and formal HR-aligned communications.
• Meet regularly with peer advisors for personal and professional development.
