Job summary

The University of North Texas in Denton is seeking an Assistant Residence Hall Director (Live-in position) to serve as a live-in leader in the residence hall.

Reporting to the Community Director, the role supports student development through programs, assists with facilities oversight, occupancy and safety.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and one year of residence life or related experience; the position is full-time, live-in, with some evenings and weekends.

• Bachelor's degree and one year of residence life, student services, counseling, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Community Engagement: Assist with Hall Council leadership development, program planning, and implementation; acts as resource/referral for campus resources.
• Behavior and Crisis Response: Supports emergency procedures and on-call shifts as scheduled.
• Supervision of Staff: Provides supervision to student staff and coordinates staff training and evaluation.
• Administration: Assist with work orders, occupancy matters, safety inspections, and reports.
• Works with teams to create a welcoming environment and participates in committees.
