Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a Guest Services Coordinator for Family Motel to manage the residential facility during shifts. The role supports housing stability, safety, and client services across family shelter, respite shelter, and a Grant Per Diem program, using Trauma Informed Care and other evidence-based practices.

The position requires a related Associate degree or equivalent experience, plus at least one year in human services.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience in human services.
• One year direct human service experience.
• Willing to obtain first aid, AED and CPR certifications and keep current.
• Criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire.
• Good organizational and planning skills; works well as part of a team.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest voice is heard and participates in programming decisions.
• Maintain knowledge of program requirements and referral processes.
• Document interactions and manage data entry and HMIS databases.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality; de-escalate conflicts as needed.
• Provide front desk coverage: calls, messages, donations, mail, bus passes.
• Train/mentor staff and volunteers; participate in shift coverage as needed.
• Coordinate housekeeping, supplies, and facility upkeep.
• Support holiday and special projects; assist in staff scheduling.
