Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a Family Service Coordinator to oversee service provision and housing assistance for families in our Affordable Housing Portfolio. The role works with the on-site Property Manager and aims to expand opportunities and resources for residents.

You will apply trauma-informed care, life skills training, SEL fundamentals, and Motivational Interviewing; perform needs-based assessments, outreach, case management, and connections to income supports.

Qualifications

• A college degree in human services, social work, or 2 years in related field.
• At least 1 year working with families.
• Willing to obtain first aid, AED, and CPR certifications.
• Criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficient in using Windows environment and databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide service provision and housing assistance for families.
• Conduct needs-based assessments and community outreach.
• Provide case management and support housing retention.
• Connect residents to income resources and public benefits.
• Advocate and liaison between residents and providers.
• Coordinate health, wellness, and educational programs.
• Engage youth with programming as applicable.
