LHYW/Washington Square Residence, a small, private, Lynn, MA non-profit, has provided affordable, subsidized, and supportive housing in Lynn for 113 years. We provide our residents with meals and scholarship assistance to enhance their quality of life and offer opportunities for personal growth and greater self-sufficiency.

Your Responsibilities

We are seeking a part-time (20 hours/week), Independent Contractor.

The resident population ranges from late teens to retired individuals. The work hours are flexible but consistent, considering resident availability and occasional after-hours events.

Your primary focus is to provide counseling, information, and connections to community-based resources to help our residents increase self-actualization, pursue additional education, employment, income, and achieve positive life goals. You will need to network and build partnerships with local providers.

You will also serve as the Home’s activities coordinator, developing and facilitating various educational and enrichment programs for our residents.

Confidentiality shall remain in effect at all times unless a disclosure places the individual or the community at risk.

Your Qualifications

• A BA/BS in a relevant subject or significant work experience relevant to the position required.

Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Compensation

Compensation will be negotiated and commensurate with the experience the candidate brings to the position.
