Responsibilities
  • The Patient Services Specialist will be responsible for the timely enrollment of the patient into the Patient Support Program.
  • Liaise with the patient, insurer, and physician regarding the documentation required for maximum reimbursement coverage, including exploring all public and private insurers and providing employer escalations as required.
  • Conduct patient financial assessments and determine eligibility based on program guidelines.
  • Provide responses to general inquiry calls based on information provided in the program materials.
  • Coordinate with Specialty and Retail pharmacies to ensure patient access to required treatments.
  • Proactively monitor patient files to ensure timely reimbursement and financial assistance renewals.
  • Process supporting documents such as infusion reports, lab results, and copays.
  • Report adverse events according to pharmaceutical requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industries is an asset.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Comfortable working in a contact centre environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel).
  • Team player with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible working hours from 8 am to 8 pm EST, Monday to Friday, with a flexible start time between 8 and 9 am, and occasional shifts from 12 pm to 8 pm.

Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience.
