Job summary

Homestead of Russell is seeking a Hospitality Aide to provide hospitality services to residents that do not require direct patient care. You will support daily living activities, meal service, bed making, and basic care in a compassionate environment.

The role requires reliability, ability to follow directions, and a commitment to safety and resident rights. Willingness to work varied shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required beyond ability to perform tasks.
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
• Willing to follow supervisor directions and work as part of a care team.

Responsibilities

• Answer call lights promptly and courteously.
• Pass trays in dining room and to residents confined to their room.
• Pass drinking water and ice.
• Strip bed linen and remake bed as directed.
• Report observations to supervisor, including nourishment intake.
• Help orient new residents to the facility.
• Straighten rooms and label personal toiletries as needed.
• Clean equipment such as bedpans, wheelchairs, IV poles, etc.
• Monitor safety regulations and resident rights compliance.
• Work beyond normal hours on occasion when necessary.
