Job summary

Steward + Helm is seeking a Resident Service Director to oversee on-site maintenance teams and ensure properties meet safety, appearance, and operational standards. You will lead maintenance staff, supervise inspections, and coordinate preventive maintenance with the Community Director.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in apartment, residential, or commercial maintenance.
• HVAC or EPA Type II Certification preferred.
• Proven ability to complete work orders in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and pool maintenance.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily activities of maintenance staff and contractors.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and provide ongoing training to maintenance team members.
• Collaborate with Community Director to schedule inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
• Supervise make-ready process to meet standards before occupancy.
• Monitor budgets and assist in annual property budget preparation.
• Provide high-quality customer service by addressing resident maintenance concerns.
