Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living is seeking an energetic Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant in the greater Albany, NY region. You will assist memory-impaired residents with daily tasks, maintain dignity, and promote independence while following care plans and safety standards.

The role requires compassion for the elderly, regulatory awareness, and documentation of care; CNA/HHA/PCA credentials are preferred and scheduling is flexible to meet shift needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA) or PCA certification preferred or required by law.
• Minimum one year of caregiving experience preferred.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required.

Responsibilities

• Assist memory-impaired residents with bathing, grooming and dressing while preserving dignity.
• Ensure compliance with regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Maintain and document proper records of care.
• Report changes in resident condition to supervisor promptly.

$16.00 - $17.50 per hour, based on experience.

Shift differential available for Evenings, Nights and Weekend Shifts

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant.

Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant Responsibilities include:

• Assisting our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents’ dignity and promoting their independence


• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights


• Maintain and document proper records of care


• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor: evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.


• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred


• Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law


• One year working in a care giving capacity preferred


• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required
